Landscape Construction Foreman

As a full-service, in-house company, we manage everything under one roof: no third-party contractors, no miscommunication. Our leadership, designers, and crews work closely together to deliver every project with precision, safety, and a clear focus on client goals.

The Role

We're looking for a hands-on Landscape Construction Foreman to lead crews on residential and commercial projects across Calgary. This is a field leadership role where you'll be running job sites, managing your crew day-to-day, and ensuring every project is delivered on time, on spec, and to Calscapes' standard of quality.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead and supervise a landscape construction crew on active job sites
Read and interpret landscape and architectural drawings to execute projects accurately
Operate a skid steer and other heavy equipment (compactors, mini-excavators, turf cutters)
Install hardscape elements including retaining walls, paver stone patios, driveways, and walkways
Manage softscape installation sod, trees, shrubs, irrigation, grading, and drainage
Track site progress, materials, and crew time using company-approved software
Complete daily logs and reports for the operations manager
Enforce safety protocols and ensure all crew members are operating safely at all times
Communicate professionally with clients on-site as needed
Coordinate material deliveries and equipment needs to keep projects moving

What We're Looking For

2–3 years of experience in landscape construction (construction background a strong asset)
Experience as a skid steer operator (this is required, not optional)
Experience as a foreman, lead hand, or crew leader formal title doesn't matter, but you need to have run a job site
Ability to read construction plans and blueprints
Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract
Solid hands-on experience with hardscape installation (retaining walls, paving, grading)
Familiarity with irrigation systems, sod installation, and planting
Strong communication you'll be the link between management and crew
Reliable, physically fit, and comfortable working outdoors in all Alberta weather conditions

Assets (Not Required)

Experience with LMN or SiteDocs software
Landscape Journeyman certification or equivalent
Class 3 license or airbrake endorsement
Experience on commercial or multi-site properties

Compensation & Perks

$30–$35/hr based on experience and skills we pay competitively and reward performance
Year-round, full-time employment

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
