Full job description

Camco Electric is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Electrical Foreman to join our team.

This is a key leadership position within our company. We are looking for someone who is driven, ambitious, detail-oriented, and able to lead a crew with confidence. The right person will take ownership of their projects, communicate well with the office and field teams, and help us deliver clean, organized, high-quality electrical work.

As an Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, supervising apprentices and journeypersons, coordinating with general contractors and other trades, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to code.

We are looking for someone who does not just want a job — we are looking for someone who wants to be part of a growing team and help build something great.

Responsibilities

Lead, organize, and supervise a crew of electricians and apprentices
Plan daily and weekly work to keep projects moving efficiently
Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and electrical plans
Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, consultants, and other trades
Ensure installations meet the Canadian Electrical Code and project requirements
Track materials, tools, deficiencies, and site progress
Assist with material take-offs, layouts, and project planning
Maintain a clean, organized, and productive job site
Complete daily reports, time tracking, safety paperwork, and site documentation
Mentor apprentices and help develop the next generation of electricians
Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example

Qualifications

Valid Manitoba Journeyperson Electrician Licence
Red Seal certification is considered an asset
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Foreman, Lead Hand, or senior field leader
Strong knowledge of commercial, multifamily, or residential electrical construction
Ability to read blueprints and coordinate work from drawings
Strong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Comfortable using phones, tablets, or digital reporting software
Ability to plan ahead, solve problems, and keep a crew productive
Must be reliable, professional, and team-focused
